So what are the sellers opinions on buyers who's ISP who will not allow you to email any of the customers from web mail accounts or in some cases even from your own ISP (I had one that would not accept mail from mediaone.net). The worst violators seem to be from people who bid from their employers email address.
Email blocking is one of the reason that my TOS has gotten longer (can you believe it used to be 3 lines and now is 26), had to add a clause that the buyer has a obligation to contact me to complete sale.

One of my second notices is sent from the auction listing itself, using the "Email this auction..." link. This uses the Ebay servers, so if I get a bounceback on that one, I know that Ebay will as well. When I do get a bounceback from that email, I immediately inform Ebay that the user has an invalid email address. So far, every one of them has been NARU'ed.

If you want to send email FROM a web-based address, make sure you don't send it out from your ISP with an email program, go TO the website and send the email from there ... a FROM: with a web-based freemail address that does NOT come directly from their servers is probably going to hit the spam filters in a lot of places.

Companies tend to have extremely TIGHT spam filters ...
My advice would be to get an account with a REPUTABLE ISP that does not have a reoputation for spamming.

At least once a week I get an email bounced back from one of my bidders. I IMMEDIATELY forward the bounced email to ebay ([email protected]) and so far all of those bidders have been NARU'd.

Whenever I send any customer mail from a secondary email addie, I also address it to the email of my eBay account, so that the customer does not get worried that some stranger is requesting money, and not the actual seller. I do not have a clue how often such things actually happened, but it is something I've read about off and on, as yet another ploy that crooks use - however, I've only read STORIES about this and I have no idea if the allegations about this specific type of criminal activity have any truth to them.
WebTV has spam blockers against all sortsa ISPs.
Indeed, I am frequently unable to communicate with anyone at MSN-domain - which is kinda of a HOOT - as Microsoft has owned WebTV for several years.
