I have a consigner who wants me to list a vintage bicycle for him- I have no Idea how to ship something like this. If you have any suggestions regarding shipping, packing etc. I would greatly appreaciate it. I want to resolve this part before I agree to list it for him.

mypegasus...new bicycles are sold in pieces and then assembled at the destination point. If you don't want to take it apart, you might want to check with a Mail Boxes Etc and see what they would charge to pack and ship. I think anyone buying an item like this would expect special handling.

I shipped my son's bike in a box I got (free) from the local bike shop. Had to dismantle the cycle, but it still fit. We sent it Greyhound and although I don't know what it cost, I know it wasn't much (I would've remembered that for sure!). Nice thing about Greyhound is that, although the recipient has to pick up the item at the bus station, unlike at UPS the loading dock is usually open 24/7.
