I did not list my items to be a Dutch Auction unless I made a mistake somehow. Does the bidder do this? Does this mean the 4 items that I was intending to sell as a set will not be sold at one price per item? Hey..that is fine with me...I would be thrilled to sell the one item for that amount but I just want to make sure I understand what is going to happen to the rest of my items? Please help this poor ole newbie.

You have to assume that if you are cofused so is the buyer.
In your description does it suggest that all 4 items sell as one lot.
If it does not then you should be OK.
Realise that 4 bidders hace to bid at least your minimum for the price to go up.
So if you started 4 items at 10.00 each, they will not move up till you have 5 bids from 5 different people. Then whatever the next bid level is it will move too that one.
I.e.The 5th person bids 12.00 so the minimum winning bid is anyone over 12.00.Those below that are out of the bidding at that point.

Dutch auctions- Imabrit does not quite have it right. Quote from ebay
The final price for each pen will be $1 (even though someone placed a high bid of $1.25) since all winning bidders pay the same price — which is the lowest successful bid.
If 4 people bid $10 and one bids $12. All get the item for $10. Bidding higher helps insure that you will be one of the "winners" but not that you will have to pay that price. All bidders pay the same, which is the lowest bid for the quantity listed. Meredith

Even a lone bidder can cause a dutch auction ending price to be higher than the opening price. I recently dutch auctioned 4 cups and saucers from a dinnerware set. the opening bid was $9.99 each...one bidder bid $20 each for four..he was the lone bidder and his buy price was $20 each for a total of $80
