Those of you remember past Christmas seasons on eBay.... When exactly does the sales rush begin?
Looking at the calendar, I'm thinking that the best time to start listing is Thanksgiving night -- for a 10-day auction that would end on Dec. 3 -- and continue listing from that day until the second week of December.

If my sales are any indication, if you wait 'til Thanksgiving, you're going to miss about half the season.
My bids started taking off last week. This week's bidding reminds me of earlier days ... nearly everything has a bid, many multiples, several things are already at reserve, etc.

Ditto, of what fountainhouse just said, I too believe that you will miss out on a lot by waiting until Thanksgiving, but then again,,,,,

I would consider getting as many lists ready as possible now. Right after the elections, everybody is going to be on line and bidding. Things are starting to pick up.

I'd be concerned about the mail service being so slow lately as well. I sent two packages out on October 10th, one going about 100 miles away in my own state of Ohio, the other going to New Jersey.
The NJ package took 8 days, and the in state one took 6. These were both Priority Mail.
Last December, I had a package mailed on December 22nd go all the way to CA and make it on December 24th. I'm not counting on that happening ever again.
