I THINK it's a no-no, but you CAN link to say a homepage that has a links to other listing sites. Surf eBays rules and regs to be sure, or even email them...better safe than sorry.

I did a search on ebay and over 25,000 auctions have "Yahoo Auctions" mentioned in their listings. Hmmm....
I have just written to Ebay support and asked them if it was against their policy, and if so, to please send me the link so I can see exactly where it states it.
I thought as long as it was a "text" link that it was permitted?

My advice, don't do it!
When we first started selling on Ebay we made the mistake of doing a "click here to see our Yahoo auctions" link.
We listed 25 auctions on a free listing day and by the next evening all of our auctions had been closed by Ebay.
Ebay dosen't go out of their way to police their auctions but, on the other hand, there's a lot of busy-bodies out there, that would like nothing more than to see your auctions closed.
Read Ebay's TOS carefully. It is easy to violate it if you don't, and there are a lot of people who are looking for violations. It gives them something to do, I guess....

What about creating an about Me page on ebay and provide a link there for your Yahoo or Amazon listings? I don't think that would be a violation, but am not sure. Perhaps someone else might know the rules for the about me page. You could put something like, due to the instability of eBay's site, I am now forced to list many of my auctions elsewhere in order to make a living. To check these auctions, click here!

What I do is put a link to a page I made at angelfire, and on the page put your yahoo banner on it. Its perfectly legal.

I just went to check this out and Yahoo came up in 35,000+ auctions but when I checked them out they used Yahoo pay direct so I eliminated that. Then there were 21,000+ and a lot of those used a yahoo mailing address. So I eliminated .com and still came up with 3,000+. However most of the ones I checked used it in an address or payment method.
So my question is (without checking 3,000+)auctions can we put our yahoo name on our ebay ad?

I had a major dispute with ebay's lawyers on this point. Ebay TOS says that you can't have a link:
6.1 "(cc) are concurrently listed for auction on a web site other than eBay's;"
My dispute with ebay is that only prohibits links where you have the SAME items concurrently listed, where-as ebay says this means any auctions.
Ebay's lawyers then when to the fall back position of "We can end any auction for any reason" (Not true under California law, which prohibits arbitary discrimination).
Ebay has also claimed that you also cannot link from Ebay to a site with that has a link to another auction site.
I would like to point out that under Ebay's "We're only a venue" party line that this would be like a mall telling Macy's that can't tell their customers about their other stores.
I have gotten around this including links to me ebay auctions in my winning bid email.
I have had links from yahoo and amazon to each other and ebay, but I eventually stopped doing that because it was easier to just have one term of sale file for all auctions.
I do have links to my ebay auctions on my amazon reviewer "about me" page.
