i'm wondering if others view eBay as online "entertainment." if you do, why? what do you find entertaining about eBay? is it where you go for entertainment when you are online?

The only thing I find entertaining is deadbeat excuses. On the same level of credibility as Algore.

I find it entertaining. I like looking for things I have around the house, or things from my past. I enjoy looking in the gallerys for old toys and such.

I find Ebay Bashing to be entertaining. I really hate it when ebay has a major outage, becuase that usually cases me to come here to figure out what is going on, and then I find it hard to leave.

As a seller I try to not browse around ebay.. I find it best treat ebay like an addictive drug, and not dip into the product...

Yes eBay entertains. Who can forget the Elian's raft auction. There is always something I'm alerted to that is funny or amazing. My favorite recent auction was the fellow selling a headset adapter for cellular phones which consisted of a single rubber band to hold the phone on the side of the head. There are also the sellers that have terms that would be the equivalent of a cavity search in a brick & mortar store, or offers items for sale and include threats, those amuse me.

I've had a few people tell me they will not bid on my auctions because my TOS is longer then the item description. It started off at 3 lines, and is now about 26.

Had to add about ten lines just to deal with cheapskates who insist on sending cash and expect me to take the loss if it is stolen/lost in transit.

Well yeah one of the draws of ebay is that its entertaining for buyer and sellers alike.

concider the fact the if it wasnt for ebay and on line suction in genral none of us would be on thid message board right now.

I would be willing to bet at least 30% or more of the bids daily is the over 40 bunch tooling down memory lane think I remember that when I was a kid wouldnt it be neat to have that now and look at the bid prices on this stuff I bet it would take me years to find this stuff ebay has.

Then there is the group who are looking who see that one toy or doll or widget they had always wanted as a kid or teen and there it is on ebay, this is part of what collecting is about.

with half the homes in the USA haveing computers now the TV is the dusty corner in many homes now .

I don't think you have STARTED to see the wave of people still not using the web for buying things. I know lots of people who use their computers for business or surfing who LURK bit have never bid on anything.
