hmmm This is odd I just went to Ebay and checked all fees seem normal listing fees are still from .25 to $2.00 depending on your start bid value.

Troll thread and the bait is gone.
Tomorrow the fees will be $6.00 per listing with a minimum of 10 listings!!!! For 100 listings it's only $5.00 for listing.

I am not so sure this is a troll..... The Listing fee could be the result of the new extra catagory where the fee doubles. Not sure about reserves as I don't use them.

coonr is correct: If rady888 put his/her item in two categories, eBay charged for two separate auctions:
$2 listing fee on an item w/a starting bid or reserve of $50 & up + $1 reserve fee x 2 = $6

The insertion fee is figured for each auction as follows:
Opening Value Insertion Fee
$ 0.01 - $ 9.99 $0.25
$10.00 - $24.99 $0.50
$25.00 - $49.99 $1.00
$50.00 and up $2.00
Insertion fees are based on the starting bid (minimum opening bid) OR the reserve price, whichever is higher. That means that if you put a reserve on that is your starting fee and then they stick on the reserve fee. So the maximum for 1 listing would be $4.00. So I guess for 2 listings it would be $6.00. I hope I did my math right.

i'm not sure why but the insertion fees for the latest auctions i've posted through AW have been .50! this is on items that i've started bidding at $2.99...i figured they raised their insertions fees, could it be they are charging for extra pics beyond the
"free" ones they allow?

from the messages posted on this link
and checking ebay billing stuff
I found out the following
when you list in two catergories
listing/insertion fees and reserve fees
are double
so the moral of the story any added features that sellers can use, ebay will sock it to youa

junqueen3,
There was some kind of rumor floating around about a charge for additional pictures but this past weekend, I put on an auction w/3 pictures on it which are NOT stored on the ebay service but on my own site & there was NO charge beyond that of a regular listing fee.

Nevertheless, the fees did not go up.
