Dear AuctionWatch.com Member,
In an effort to provide you with exceptional service, AuctionWatch.com will now allow images to be stored on our image hosting servers for 90 days. Any image hosted by AuctionWatch which has not been accessed on the internet for the past 90 days will be deleted from our servers and will not be available for use in your online auctions.
If you have an image that you would like AuctionWatch.com to continue to host, please log into your AuctionWatch.com account and under the Auction Manager tab, click on image hosting and finally click on the thumbnail that you would like to view. This will reset our 90 day flag which will prevent this image from being deleted.
Thank you for your continued business.

Oh, no, Chris! When are you going to do this (deleting old images)? Have some old ones and was just going to start listing again. Will they still all be there, say, tomorrow?

Oh NO! What a horrible idea! This is the reason I left E-Poster! UGH!
I have over 2000 images stored - and I delete images as soon as those items ship - sometimes my images are there for a while because I list them on other auction services if they don't sell on ebay - there is NO WAY I can individually click on 2000+ images to "reset" them for another 90 days!
Question: If someone clicks on the image through my auction - will THAT reset it? What if they just bring up one of my auctions with a picture on it and DON'T click on the picture? Will that reset it or do they actually have to CLICK on the picture itself????

Hi Valerie47--
If someone clicks on an image currently up on an auction venue, the 90 day counter will be reset. If someone views one of your auctions that has an image, that also will reset the counter.
Hope that helps!

Will AuctionWatch notify its members of this via email?

Chris, I still don't see when....am I missing something?
Note to Valerie: I always leave my pics up until the merchandise is received....just in case.

That really sucks!
I have over 1700 images on AW! I guess now, if I get this right, once every 90 days I have to go into my AW account a click on all 1700 to prevent them from being deleted?
Running out of space are they?

Chris...
Is this new policy taking place immediately? At this very moment?

Chris...
Can't we just click on the select all button, or must we click on each individual thumb?
If we have to click on each one, that could take hours for some of us!

Hi Everyone
I think Chris has left for the evening. From the limited information I have been given, I do know that this does not take effect immediately - I don't have a definite commencement date but I would prepare for early November sometime.
Sorry I don't have any more info at this time . Chris or Diana will be available to answer your questions tomorrow.

Ugggg!
It sounds like someone wasn't thinking this through before posting the new policy. More information, a timeline, exactly how this will work would have been nice.

Will you be giving a retirement date for each and every image, so that we can see the last time we used the image?

Hi everyone--
I've been tracking the posts to this announcement. We appreciate everyones input. I like the idea of developing an indicator in the image hosting section that will tell you when the image is scheduled to be deleted. I will pass this on to our product development team and see what we can do.
I hate committing to dates as to when this will start because dates slip. Right now this maintenance is slotted to begin on November 7....
Hope this helps! More as I know it.
