I sold and item to a buyer who responded to my notice that she would pay with paypal. After a few days and I did not recieve any verification from paypal on this I emailed her and told her that there may have been a problem with it going through and she might want to check her history to see if it was unclaimed. She emailed me back but only said "I have paid with paypal". I let a couple more days go by waiting and I rechecked my history 3 times for this payment and nothing. Then I get an email from this buyer mad because I haven't sent her item. I emailed her again and explained that as I said before I have not recieved a verification of this from paypal and that it is not showing up on my side in the history. She emails back and said she never heard from me about this before and sent a copy of her email from paypal verifing the payment had been sent. Has anyone else had this happen. This is the first time this has happened to me. I have asked Paypal to check this out but no word from them yet. Should I sent this out anyway and wait to get it straight with paypal later or should I wait to send this until it shows up on my side?

Is the email address she Paypaled yours? Is that email address registered with PayPal, or is just one you use on eBay? Is the email address exact: no period at the end, no .com instead of .net?

Check out the copy of the transaction receipt that she sent. Make sure that the email address of the recipient is yours, and doesn't show a "." at the end, and she hasn't substituted ".net" for ".com" or vice versa. Doesn't sound like this buyer is particularly cooperative, and that's a PITA, because you need to find out if this transaction is showing up in her account as "Completed". You may have to work with PayPal on this one. You should have a transaction number from the copy of the receipt, and PP should be able to verify whether that's a valid transaction number, and if the payment was made by your buyer to you.

I had this happen with a paypal payment last week I got no notice from paypal about the payment buyer claimed they sent.
I didnt wait days I email within a few hours the buyer sent me there the paypal verfication of there payment and guess what the email was wrong a simple typo of an extra number.
so check to see if it was your email they sent too .
buyer canceled that payment and resent to the right email. then again I had a nice buyer who wasnt more paranoid about me ripping her off and was willing to realize mistakes happen on both sides.

I have had several people put in the wrong email address and usually when I ask them to check if it is unclaimed they email me back and say ooops sorry resent this. Usually no problems after that. This woman evidently won't check that as I asked her to. I checked the email on her reciept and it looks to be fine but there may be something I am missing in her paste and copy. THANKS for the ideas.
