I see that ebay is trying a "buy it now" option. Great! That means that for those of us who have a RL (real life), we could potentially miss great things.
In the meantime, ebay rockets along with an ever increasing pack of deadbeat buyers, because they refuse to verify AOL accounts and other non-free email accounts. The AOL account gets NARU'd? Just set up a new one with a phony name and address. Report the phony bidder? Ebay's well trained (NOT!) service (?) reps just answer that they appreciate your concern, but have no reason to take action at this time.
Unless you are a Power Seller, there is no way to talk to a live body. However, perhaps the media would listen. A local TV station started the inquiry into Ford/Firestone. Maybe, I will just redirect any future email and documentation to them.
I know of a guy who is on his 5th account (the other 4 are NARU). He has 7 negatives and 1 neutral for non payment on this new account. However, ebay is not concerned, so why should I be?????
