I havent had ANYTHING end on a sat or sun in a long time...so was wondering...do you folks have luck on sales ending then? Seems folks arent bidding or surfing ebay on those days, because they are off doing weekend stuff. Normally, my auctions end on mon, tues, wed, thurs and sometimes friday, but always in the early afternoon on fridays, because thats when folks are taking off for their weekend trips and they arent around on friday nights. Lately, I have been having my sales end around noon, since ebay is ALWAYS down at night. So far, so good with them ending then. But..what about weekends...like Sundays? Any luck with that day?

My listings this weekend apparently aren't attractive, as I have no bids. I did see another auction, ending next week, go up significantly today, so someone was looking at my stuff. I'm trying to avoid Sunday night, for sure.

Hey, Maui!

Well, I had a bunch of auctions end last night, this morning, and this evening, with that camera set to end tomorrow. All sold except for two, most with multiple bids at least three with some rather impressive sniping action too. So my experience, at least this time around, is different. I don't put much stock in when I end an auction...I list it when I have time to, and let 'er rip!

Nice to see you, Hawaiian Lady.

Fri nights are slow, Sat. Morning - afternoon is good, Sundays are usually good.

But if you have something that people want, and right now I have something listed that people really want, it will sell at any time of any day.

I have an item listed on ebay that received 388 hits and 24 bids in the first 5 hours.
I can't wait to watch this one end.

I had 13 auctions on this week and all but two got bids and the bids didn't start until Thursday. Auctions ended on Saturday afternoon and early evening, and did really good for what I was auctioning. I sell items that are easy to pack in a bubble wrap envelope. I like listing on Monday evening, but I have done other days and I see that any day is okay to start an auction. I try not to start one on Sunday because it takes to long to launch and I prefer to end them earlier in the evening around 9 or so. That gives everyone a chance. With some of the dumb and I mean dumb TV shows this fall ebay should do pretty well.

Heya Maui --

I have been having excellent results with Saturday night endings (knock on wood). I am on the east coast, and usually shoot for closing times around 10p-12m. Daytime endings are bad on the weekends, I found, so I am sticking strictly to evenings.

Another bonus when you end on Saturday nights: no next day shipping on credit card payments. You have time to get packages ready to go...not as much rushing. Plus, I find that by Monday morning, most buyer's who want to pay by credit card have paid, so it cut's down on trips to the PO.

I have 58 auctions ending Sunday evaning. Twenty have bids at this point. Five have from 2 - 5 bids.

All are non reserve auctions, so they are sold.

I had 18 auctions end tonight. 12 had winners.

Around half paid with paypal and two stated that the wins were Christmas presents.

When the twelve ended I put out twelve duplicates of them and one has a bid already.

I ve been doing 5 days auctions, use to only do 10 I really dont see any differnece in amount of bids or final value. If it good and desirable any day of week will bring a fair price!

Hi Maui. I gave up on Sundays altogether because they bombed, at least for me. Friday nights have been excellent and Saturdays, well, so-so.

Sunday afternoon and evening has always been my fav. If I have several items to sell any given week I take advantage of every day. If you have a lot of similar types of items to sell I suggest this. List a couple on Sunday evening, a couple on Monday night, a few on Tuesday morning.....and so on. Be sure and put in the descrip that you have other items of the same type.

This way you are covering it all and it's even better if you have an angle like a dollar no reserve on a couple of nice things. Makes the bidders want to click on sellers other auctions.

And thats all I'm gonna say bout that
