I was wondering if anyone knows of a handy dandy internet site or some way to tell the differences between a real watch and a fake one. (And other items also like sunglasses, computer software, etc.) I want to be careful that I don't get tricked into buying a fake item from a seller on Ebay. I know that Oakley does a good job of ending auctions in which sellers sell imitator sunglasses but not all companies enforce things like this yet.
I also recently received some watches from a friend and everything about them looks very real...from the band to the casing to the overall look....but the odd packaging is what made me think twice. It was just plain bubblewrap. Tacky. Yuck! I'm wanting to see what the difference between these fake ones to the real thing...if possible.

They are just regular watches you wear on your wrist. I didn't give much thought as to the warranty, either...hmmm....

I bought a fake Rolex knowing it was fake but impressed with what a good job they had done.
Went in Greenstone's Jewelers in Birmingham MI and he looked at it from about 2 foot away and said NOPE..
