Have a lot closing today and wanted to get suggestions as to how to pack them from you who have more experience with packing more delicate items like this. Thanks for you help in advance!

For very fragile items such as these, I always double box. Carefully cushion the items in a box that's not too big but has room to pack all around the item then place that in a larger box and fill the space with crumpled newpaper or peanuts. The double boxing really helps keep the item from moving around and gives an extra layer of crush protection.

What a timely question. I did this a couple of weeks ago - sold a lot of 16 of them and swore it would be my last. Wrapped each one individually in bubble wrap and then double boxed them. Took almost an hour.

If there's any way you can keep ahold of the original divided box, use it! Even if it's old and beat up, it keeps the ornaments divided and separated. Then cushion this box in tons of old newspaper and place in a larger box, allowing at least 3-4 inches all the way around. This alleviates the need to wrap each and every ornament separately. If you don't have a divided ornament box, dig through your old Christmas stuff and see if you can find one you can spare. It's worth it!

I was delighted to receive fragile Christmas ornaments that had been carefully wrapped in indiviually sectioned cartons, as suggested above, PLUS - that box was sealed in a plastic bag that was full of air. The seller must have had one of those canning bag electric sealing thingys, as the bag was tightly sealed and still full of air when the package arrived. Air bag was nestled in a large box of styrofoam peanuts. Not a damaged piece in the whole lot!
Edited because the typo grynch is stomping about on my keyboard this morning in hobnailed boots!

If you don't have a sectioned box, go to the liquor store and get a wine box. All the setions should still be in it. If you dont want to use the entire box, cut the sections in half and put it in a shallower box. Be sure to wrap each one in bubble wrap and fill the box cavity all the way around the orns. Works for me!

With that kind of work involved with shipping Christmas Ornaments--I hope the seler charged 'handling' and the buyer didn't grumble about paying more than postage.

Cross my fingers and knock on wood--have never lost an ornament yet--I wrap each one in tissue paper and place in original box wrapped in bubble and in big box full of peanuts. These things have to be a lot tougher than we think--probably has something to do with the very light weight. Have also sent without original box nestled in a lot of peanuts and still no breakage. I do like the wine box suggestion tho--will be stopping at several liquor stores in next few days.
