Just got back from an auction yesterday that was offered by my favorite auction company. These guys are the largest auction company in my corner of the state, and...they never require you to register or get a number before you buy. When you win the bid on your first item you holler out your name and from then on the auctioneer refers back to you by name. Yes, I know they are probably wide open for some scams and rip-offs, but it's always so refreshing to go to an auction where they actually trust you. Also, they never charge a 10% buyer's premium, never break sets down into choice this or choice that (for the fifth or sixth time!) and they're friendly and fun. Auction companies like this are the ones that get my business, and I wish some of these others would learn from them.
