Maybe this is old news, but I didn't see anyone mention it here...
"Yahoo! Auctions has lots to offer sellers, including competitively-priced listings that help increase your profit margin. Many of the sellers moving to Yahoo! Auctions would like to be able to import the good ratings they've acquired on other auction platforms. Unfortunately, Yahoo! is not permitted to do this. Instead, we'd like to offer you something equally valuable -- credits you can use to feature your auctions on Yahoo!.
Featured Auctions let sellers promote their auctions by paying for prominent page placement, above the regular auction listings on category pages. Featuring an auction is a great strategy for improving sell-through on your items.
Here's our special offer: If you have a rating score from another online auction site we'd like to offer you an equal quantity of credits toward featuring your auctions. For example, if your rating on another auction site is 500, you'll get $500.00 in Featured Auction Credits. This promotion will run for a limited time only, so be sure to sign up now."

gboy, You told me on another thread how to search closed auctions on Yahoo. Is there a way to search closed auctions that received no bids? Thanks!

Well, it's not what it's cracked up to be. What they are doing is squashing the little guy on the search wheel, with sellers who bring high f/b over to Yahoo. The high f/b sellers do much better than the rest. We are all getting left in the dust over there...
Not sure, cuz I didn't do it-- It was a pretty slick marketing ploy..not sure they just aren't after all your data that comes with the f/back.
Lotsa grumbling at Yahoo right now...too much manipulation of ranking. IOW, I don't call 5 views of an extremely rare item anything to write home about. My sales there are plummeting since they required CC registration by bidders and implementation of this stoooooopid idea of spinning the search wheel - sometimes leaving items (of lower f/back sellers) TOTALLY out of the picture.
They are "slickos" for sure. At least ebay doesn't hide their greedy and moronic attempts of auction manipulation. They let it all hang out. Right now, Yahoo still is hiding behind the word FREE--- but Momma didn't raise too many fools there.
Auctions and CC services, today, seem more like the Mafia days of the 30's...pay up or....
Not sure I can keep company with these auction companies any more and feel good about it.

Could someone post the link to this special offer? I have been selling on Yahoo some for a few weeks and I would like to make use of my eBay feedback. Thanks!

gboy
I'm ready to sign up. Looked over the form and have one question.
The credit for my "other site feedback", is that total positive feebacks or my rating, i.e. unique user pos fb's???

Wow, stockticker, thanks for the link. I had written to Yahoo! about this yesterday but haven't heard from them yet. I just submitted my rating! This should be fun!
