I tried posting this request on the WANTED Message Board and got no response so I'm hoping that someone here will be able to help.
During the late 60's/early 70's, there was a small doll (Barbie size) that had a body like Barbie but the head was a DOG. I think the head was a poodle. It was a really hot item and I ran all over the state to get one for my daughter for Christmas. I actually saw women shoving and wrestling with each other to get them! I finally got one through a reseller and my daughter was thrilled. The doll is "long gone" and as Christmas is fast approaching, I'd like to get one for my daughter who is all grown up now and sorry for not keeping mementos of her childhood.
Does ANYONE know where I might find one or, at least, what the darned thing was called!?!

The doll was called Peteena. It was made by Hasbro in the late 60's. I don't how to add a link, but here's one of them.

NEWTON and MEYA:
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Just having the NAME is a big help. Yes, I know... when I think back to what I had to do do get this thing originally, I am embarrased. Mothers sometimes do strange things to see that look of delight on their little one's face. (Kind of looks like I'm STILL doing it!)
