Here's something different: Listed six items last night. Five were the usual antiques and collectables -- one was a Dutch auction for a new (unpublished yet!) first edition signed and autographed book dealing with private pilots, adventures and humor. As of this morning, there at 4 bids and 252 lookers at this item! That's in 12 hours -- while the rest of the pack marinates with 10-20 hits per in the same time span.
So, perhaps I'm in -- and have been -- in the wrong business selling the wrong kinds of items? Or is this just a marvelous (which it is) book that appeals to pilots and do they spend a lot of time on eBay and are they Christmas shopping?
I'm simply astounded! Not that I don't write good copy and produce good shots (most of the time anyway) and do well by my standards -- but in 4 years on eBay I've never had this kind of response.

That's a really attractive ad. You may have found the next "hot" item at eBay. I just wanted to give you a heads-up that running a contest (high bidder gets the lowest numbered edition) violates eBay rules and they will probably end the auction if someone complains. BTW I especially liked the parchment background.

You might change the edition # text to read something like "Edition numbers will be given to high bidders in the order their bids are received."
