It is 9:20 eastern time 6:20 PST. Yet I can not do a search or seller search and search by number is VERY slow.
I think they are working on the system all the time now and it may go down anytime not just in peak traffic.
I sold NOTHING yesterday. My sales are way down. I will be spending the evening moving things to Yahoo. They don't sell as well there but eBay is hopeless. I can't pour more time into it for no return. I have been patient for weeks and all they do is lie to me.

It's been a mess for me for over 3 hours.
Last night my items did VERY well, so overall I can't complain.

I can't even get the first page to come up.
Even more depressing, I just read the article posted under the thread - A MUST READ FOR EBAY SELLERS.

I agree with you macandjan, I tried yahoo, it it just doesn't have the sells there to make it worthwhile for me. I understand the its does work for others, just for me the sales a slows and far between. I am in this business to turn the merchandise fast, make money not hold stuff. The items I have (collectible & antiques) will sell, I hate to have to go back to to markets and brick and mortar bizs, so much work!!!!! but seems I am gonna have to do some of that!

I am getting through now, everythings working fine through my ISP, the problem seems to be with auction watch. Still cant get through by using my auction manager.

Have not been able to do a seller search all morning and power sellers contact does not even aswer me. I am afraid I will be mostly listing on Yahoo and working on my own sales site until I see some sign things are better than the last couple weeks.

EVENTER - You can do a seller search and everything down south? I am in MI.

macandjan,

I'm in Alabama & no problems here (other than the usual bunch of crooked politicians, but that's another thread).

Yep, just got back from running some searches on slow payers..not a problem in the "search" feature at all, can get in to My Ebay, all's working fine.

Mac ..... My hunch is that something's wrong at the gates of eBay, ie the Exodus server is clogged up. That would explain why some people are getting in, and some aren't. Different ISPs & different routers travelling into eBayland.

I'm in Western Canada & have not been able to access cgi3 or cgi6 for close to 6 hours now.

I spoke with a Billpoint rep on the phone approx an hour ago & made him aware of the situation as the Billpoint links are on the cgi3 server.

He had no idea there was a problem & said everything was working fine at his end. He was going to let the Engineers know there was a problem.

With any luck they'll get it figured out ASAP.

I finally got on going through Netscape instead of Internet Explorer. I don't know why it would make any difference but it did.

Yes! Just got in 20 minutes ago. BTW I'm on Netscape, and trying IE earlier didn't do didley. Perhaps the new Xmas snowflakes at the top of the pages funged things up?

Who knows?

Netscape works consistently better with eBay the IE. I haven't been able to list reliably with IE for the last 3 months.

I think the free listing day has slowed it down quite a bit from goto auctions. Little sluggish here not to bad just sluggish on the search a bit

Tried using IExplore to list my Mr. Lister collections, and got a "can't find server" error. So I switched to Netscape. I got the the listing part, but at the bottom of the page this message appears from eBay:

"Sorry, we could not send the collection approve information to you via e-mail. Please check your e-mail to ensure it is valid and try again. You may wish to contact your service provider."

Oh, sure. Blame it on my ISP. I live about 10 minutes from eBay.

I was trying to revise auctions and can't- I keep getting an error message blaming it on my ISP. What the bleep? I'm using Netscape, BTW, so I just give up...
