Hi everyone. I won an auction on 10/20 and paid that day by PayPal. I have not received the item, nor an answer to my e-mail asking him if he received my payment. when I checked his feedback today, he had received 5 negs in the past 48 hours from people who paid for items over a month ago and never received them. I think my chances of receiving my item are slim. He is unverified on PayPal, so i can't submit a claim with them. Is it possible for me to do a charge-back on the credit card I used through PayPal? How do I go about doing that? Thanks for any assistance.

It may be that other unshipped items have caused the seller's account to be frozen already. You might want to email the other bidders and see if you can find out what's going on. You can also call PayPal.

You can also contact PP about the problem to see if they will help you before you go to your CC company.

That's a good one. contact paypal and see if they can help. Har har har har. They are to busy defending themselve against lawsuits to worry about our money. you'll get cookie cutters answeres at best. I'd go directly to hthe CC compnay if I were you.

This happened to me once. I emailed another bidder who had also gotten ripped off by this guy. We both pulled his Seller info from Ebay only to find his phone number was a pager. We couldn't get any kind of response to paging him or emailing him. It had been over a month and a half, still no item. He would delete emails without reading them. I went to the FBI's Website (Internet Fraud Complaint Center) and filed a complaint. I got an immediate response from them requesting further details of the transaction. I also filed complaints with AOL and Ebay. The other bidder he ripped off filed a complaint with USPS for mail fraud. About two weeks later, the item showed up on my door. The other bidder told me she also received her item. I'm not sure which of these organizations got the guy moving, but was happy to finally receive my item.
