Considering that, on average, 50% of my deadbeat bidders are claiming deaths in the family as a reason for not having paid, I have concluded that many are likely afflicted by the same illness. So let them bid away, for surely their days are numbered! I will soon be left with nothing but good paying bidders who use the watch feature and forget to snipe. <p>
Oh man! I'll soon be living the good eLife!

unless whatever they have is contagious...they may be infecting everyone else too.

PLEASE, neg any deadbeats! It the only way to get rid of them for good! Dont let the possible retuned neg keep you from doing it. If all look the other way, the problem will continue. There should be a way to have a neg of this nature removed!

jfpnatl...no matter how many deadbeats you neg there will always be more to take their place. It's a fact of life selling the way we do so we might as well get used to it.

More important than the negative feedback, you have to email safe-harbor on every deadbeat bidder. Filing the FVF puts a strike on their account, but all deadbeat suspensions are done manually so sellers have to send emails to get the deadbeats naru'd.

Quote from Ebay site:

"If a user has 4 feedback comments for nonpayment, will they be suspended?

No, feedback comments are separate from the non-paying bidder policy."

MeJim..NPB strikes do cause automatic suspension...you don't need to notify safeharbor.

But if you ONLY neg and do not file a NPB then they will not be automatically suspended.

And you don't need to neg for the NPB automatic suspension to work.

NPB should have their bids charged to their credit card. Something as a last resort. Everybody who uses ebay should have to use a CC. You also shouldn't be able to change your user id after receiving a NEG. It only hurts the sellers when these people don't pay again!

I agree with jfpnatl. Neg the suckers! I was able to cancel a deadbeats bid on a high dollar auction because of the sellers who had negged the jerk previously. A big thank you to the sellers who have the courage to neg.
