I SHOULD know this, but.....Is it allowed (by eBay) to have more than one ID, using different email addies, BUT the same credit card info?....I have "inherited" some merchandise that I would rather NOT sell using my ID, but I would like to sell this stuff....&...NOT jeopardize my primary account...

When you register the second name, you will get an email from eBay to your FIRST ID that the second ID is registering using your credit card, and if that isn't OK, to please contact them right away. eBay does not have a problem with this practice, as long as you give honest information when you register (your correct address, phone, etc.). I think it's a good idea to have 2 IDs for the reasons Cassie suggested.

Yes you can, I (and almost everyone I know) have several. What you can't do is bid on your own auctions or give yourself feedback - makes sense doesn't it! Other than that - go for it A name for every reason and every season. ebaY loves it cause it inflates their numbers - Rosalinda

Mighty obliged folks! (next time, I promise I'll do my own homework! )....
I do have two accounts (+ the husband's) one for selling & one for buying (buying is not registered with a CC)...But I just wanted to make sure that usin' the same CC wouldn't get me in hot water!....I wouldn't think of messin' around with the bids or giving incorrect info...just don't want to sell these items under my primary ID....

I ran into a problem w/relatives looking at my auctions and getting upset that I was selling things that "should remain in the family" and they started bidding on them (another thing Ebay is funny about, looks like shilling). I now use my husbands ID to sell those type of things. He doesn't use his ID anyway and most important, None of my family knows he even has one. As to using the
same CC number, I'm not even sure which he used, but what difference would that make, both our names are on the CC card.
