I'm not sure if this will work, but try it:

If the email is coming from an address like "[email protected]" (for example), send a message to "[email protected]" and use use the word "unsubscribe" on the subject line.

If it's a majordomo list this will get you off the list. If it's plain ol' spam, it won't.

Hi Rancher,
This appears to be a long established eGroups list, so I would guess that your subscription was not done to purposely spam you. To unsubscribe, send an email to
[email protected] with unsubscribe in the subject. This list can be found at http://www.egroups.com/group/club-ebay
and all the list information is there. Hope this helps - Rosalinda

Anytime you are getting over run with e-mail from one given source, and "if" you are running Outlook Express simply, highlight the message in your incoming mail then go to "MESSAGE" at the top of your mail program, go down and click BLOCK SENDER, and that takes care of the problem, all the mail is then bounced back to the sender.

You can report them, etc., but this is a definite stop to Spam mail from a consistent source. It won't work for all the random stuff as those addresses change all the time, but for a group like you mentioned it works perfectly.

Interfering with any business is against the law in any state. So no matter if it's egroups.com or microsoft.com just send them a letter that they are interfering with your business activities and if this don't stop immediately you will start a legal action for damages for interfering with your daily activities etc. And do not send it to [email protected] send it to: [email protected]

*They don't know if you have a business or not, and you do not need to have a business to email this type of warning to your spamers. When I get this type of emails I contact the webmaster with tremendous warning of legal action if this don't stop within the next few days. Also tell them that you don't know how they got your address, but you want an immediate action (stop) to this inconvenience.

*Trick - Always send these type of letters twice so they know that you are really serious about this.
