I purchased this map at an estate sale, I want to know what to call it....it is a map of U.S. and is on the stand as seen in pics. any help will be appreciated. Thankyou.

Um, I'd call it a map on a stand.
Really, I don't think there's a term for this item like you're looking for. Of course I could be wrong, and hopefully someone else will have more useful information for you.
If I were to list it, I'd probably call it a "Full Color USA Display Map with Stand" or something like that.

It looks like an older breakfast tray, or a tray to use to read in bed. Can't tell the height etc from the pics, or the finish, but .... -Rosalinda

It could have been something used in a classroom to teach geography. How does the map compare with current US maps? This may give you a clue as to it's age. It may also have been something used in a business to indicate their territory. Are there pin holes in the map that could have been made by pushpins?
