If paypal is such a problem why does everyone keep using it???? I signed up with exchangepath(after rave reviews from this board) and so far its been great---but so far only a handful of people have used it. What am I missing????

All it takes is a short, simple explanation about why you frown upon PayPal. Point them to a couple of AW threads and then just sit back and wait for the ExchangePath payment. It works very well...

Probably what you're missing is that appears to be a problem mainly for sellers- buyers seem to be doing okay in comparison.

That has a good chance of changing though, once buyers reach their $250 spending limit and are required to verify their bank account. I don't think that there will be very many of buyers willing to do that.

I've had a few BUYERS the past couple days who have said they have dropped Paypal because of their lack of customer service and endless problems.

I, as a seller, quit using them as of 11/9 and have received numerous payments via Exchangepath, PayDirect, Payplace, Ecount, and Billpoint.

Not accepting Paypal has not hurt my sales at all - because more and more buyers AND sellers are quitting Paypal.

When I get an inquiry as to why I don't accept them anymore I, also, send them several links to these boards. Has worked every time!

feel free to use this link:

I went from 8-10 paypal payments a week to one in the last two weeks. I am now at 8-10 exchangepath payments a week.

Thank you for sharing I just signed up with exchangepath. Unfortunately I have 58 auctions listed with the PayPal logo. I did note that exchangepath will probably charge fee's once they get more customers as its states in the contract that they have the right to charges for services in the future.
