Although I love it, I have had constant problems with the new BIN program. All my auctions are set with the opening price and the BIN price the same, when the buyer bids it SHOULD close the auction, the key word here is "should".
PROBLEM when the customer bids, the auction doesn't close! I have manually had to close 6 of them. Once in a while they do close by themselves. Just found this on the eBay announcement board:

** Buy It Now for 1st time Credit Card Registrants **
Dear eBay Community,
We recently discovered that Buy It Now is not working properly when a buyer tries to purchase an item with Buy It Now and has to register his or her credit card on file with us for the first time.
After the buyer registers his or her credit card, eBay’s system does not send that person through the Buy It Now confirmation and purchase process to actually close the Buy It Now transaction. Buyers may incorrectly believe that they have bought the item, when in actuality, the transaction was not completed.
Until we correct this bug, buyers who try to Buy It Now and register their credit card for the first time will need to return to the View Item page to actually purchase the item by clicking on the Buy It Now button again. Once buyers click on the Buy It Now button, they will be able to confirm their purchase and choose payment method at this point (as we will already have their credit card information stored and will not have to ask them a second time around). This action will then close the Buy It Now auction.
Buyers, after you’ve placed your credit card number on file for the first time, please make sure you return to the View Item page and click on the Buy It Now button again to review and confirm your purchase. Sellers, please communicate this process to any buyers who may be contacting you regarding this issue.
Please Note: This only affects first time credit card registrants who try to Buy It Now. The Buy It Now process works correctly for buyers who already have their credit card number on file with us.
We are working expediently to correct this. eBay apologizes for any temporary inconvenience this may have caused you.

Maybe your buyers used the bid button instead of the buy it now button (since the price was the same), in which case, the auction wouldn't close...? Just a possible explanation. Seems to be a lot of confusion about the program on the part of buyers.
