I just wanted to take a moment to give thanks for all the good in my life this past year.

I've grown alot as a person, and as a father.

I hadn't given real thought EVER, to what I was thankful for, cause' I guess I never really was thankful.

Selfish I guess you would call it...

But I received an e-mail from a great friend that I made here on AW about a year ago, and she made me think for the first time about what I was thankful for.

I mean REALLY thankful for.

God, you get so wrapped up in the day to day, dog eat dog world of "nothing ever goes my way", that you don't stop to look at what life COULD be like, and IS for others.

For instance...

I dwelled on the fact that one of my business' burnt to the ground, without ever being thankful that no one was hurt.

I dwelled on the fact that my son was very ill, instead of being thankful that my other children were very healthy.

You get the idea.

I'm telling you all to do what I did, and sit down for a minute, reflect, and think for a few moments of ONLY the things you are thankful for, and I guarantee you that you will feel much better all day today.

I thought of literally hundreds.

And I am VERY thankful for your e-mail Kris, it made my holiday!

Thank You.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Pocono:

I am thankful for this place where we otherwise-lonely auction sellers can get together and have a community.

I always enjoy your wit and insight on these boards. Thanks for your time and thoughts!

I am now facing a rather chilling scenario. I've started a thread called "Feedback Extortion" in this area of the board. I would be grateful to hear your thoughts/experiences regarding this type of problem.

Happy Thanksgiving to all and God bless,
Big shack

This Thanksgiving as my children gather round the table for dinner or around the tv in the front room to watch a movie together or tucking them in their beds at night. I am grateful beyond words that I have a home.
Happy Thanksgiving

You may not be able to control the cards that life deals you, but how you play those cards and the attitude you choose to take is what ultimately determines your happiness.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone....

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that the holiday season brings you happiness, good health and success in all your endeavors.

I also hope that all the fine folks here at AW (posters, lurkers and staff alike) had a nice Thanksgiving and enjoy the peace and happiness of the holiday season.

And I would like to thank the special friends that have made my time on these boards meaningful and worthwhile.
