the cat "dolls" look as though they might be for using with boots-you would tuck the long "legs" into the boots.

SHOSH - Thanks for the help. I was trying to insert the [img] in front of the URL and it kept jumping to the line above. I expect there must be a space between them and will try again as I have a few more "what is this" coming up.
JUNQUEEN3 - The long legged dolls could sit in boot legs but do not bend to fit as shoe trees. I had thought that they would sit over the edge of a crib but, clearly, have no real idea what they might have been meant to do.
HCQ - Yes, it is frightening. I might be able to imagine a house with such "crafts in use" but I choose not to. I had thought it might be a type of a doll that was larger than the child but still light weight and flexible enough to be played with and sit in a chair as a "friend".
I will search on boot trees and vacuum covers but don't think I will list unless I can find clear compatibles. Just might end up in Everything Else - Weird unless I can feel certain of what these are called. Guess I could do "Dolls - General" and list them as "I Don't Know" dolls.

I believe that junqueen3 is right about the cat dolls....They would be used in the "legs" of the boots, simply to keep them from falling down/over making an ugly bend in the boot & at the same time keeping the two boots together in a closet...Not actually as a shoe tree that would fit into the "shoe" portion of the boot...

Do the legs of the cats separate? Maybe when you stretch the legs out to each side of the head it's used as a draft stopper in front of a door.

HCQ LOL Can you imagine getting up in the middle of the night & seeing that shadowy figure standing in your livingroom or worse yet, your bedroom.

(We have some dear, dear friends whose entire kitchen is done up in the Fingerhut teddy bear motif - dishes, towels, canisters). Several stalls were devoted entirely to those 3' tall stand-in-the-corner-pouting dolls. I know I am a decor snob, but can somebody please take the time to explain the appeal of these to me? I really will try to understnad. (I'm serious.)
Anyway, I am truly in the Land of The Cheesy, which is an odd sort of blessing because when Grandma keels over, the kids are only too happy to sell the handmade feedsack quilts to me for $5 ("who wants that old junk? You have to iron cotton, dontcha?". It's a mixed blessing.

HCQ, I have seen these vac covers in Caldor (now oob) & Service Merchandise. I would look at them & think...Who would ever...
HCQ, please tell me something about yourself. I am so curious about you. You are smart, articulate, funny & obviously talented. I look for your posts because I know I will always have a good laugh. I don't know if it's bad form to ask these questions & since I don't know who you are on eBay I have to ask here.

Many, many years ago when I was poor, & I'm still poor, I bought a set of dishes from Fingerhut. As an added gift they threw in a set of stainless, glasses, napkins & probably about 150 tea towells & dish rags. Why they didn't add a new dining room table is beyond me. The "gifts" were probably worth more than the dishes. I'll bet they were the first to latch onto the vac covers.
They are right in line with the "quality stuff" they sell.

Oh, Fingerhut is a GREAT place to get a huge lot of startup dishes/linens for next to nothing - especially if you're out in the middle of nowhere, I can imagine it'd be a godsend. (BTW - Caldor is OOB?!? I guess Target's the one now.) Me, I just cringe at hypercoordination and pastel baby animals on dinnerware Muriel gets the heebies from spiders; I get 'em from calico geese. One man's meat is another man's poison, I guess.
Me? Here's my webpage for more than you ever wanted to know:

HCQ, I don't know if the entire Caldor chain is OOB, but all the stores in this area closed just before last Christmas.
And that would be Eastern PA, near Philadelphia & in Delaware.
Webtv will not let me into your web page. I just bought a computer last night & it's sitting here looking at me. I will start it up & see your web page. The word cheyne intrigued me as I live on Cheyney road.
