Thanks for you previous help with the 'aerial gunner wings'. I have these two sterling enameled pins as well. Some sort of insignias. One has a little tiny pin attached with a chain. It has little wings with a propeller in the middle. The flag is sterling, enameled and has 48 stars. Any ideas? Thanks

The symbol is that of the US Army Air Corp, which was the predecessor to today's Air Force. The Air Force was not officially created until after WWII, so this would have to be pre-1945. I would guess this to be a medal for a non-pilot member of an air crew - a gunner or navigator perhaps, most likely issued in the late 1930's
