A certain seller told me that he marks "gift" on all of his customs forms. Has anyone heard of anyone getting busted for doing this?
When leaving negative feedback for someone, does ebay warn you that you are about to leave negative feedback?
If I run a private auction, will I receive the e-mail addresses of the losing bidders after the auction ends?

I have not heard of anyone getting into trouble. However, not wanting to get into trouble with the authorities and other reasons, I NEVER mark the customs forms dishonestly.
The last time I left a neg over a year ago, no I was not warned. Therefore I make sure all the "i's" are dotted and the "t's" are crossed!
In a private auction, you will only receive the email of the winner.

I believe that they do warn you now if you are going to leave a neg.....it seems that I got a warning on the last one I left.

I have not heard of anyone getting busted for marking gift on the form but I wouldn't risk it myself unless it really was a gift.
The last time I left a negative I was warned and also the last time I left a neutral.

I have never heard of anyone getting busted for false customs declarations. But that is a pretty bad basis to assume that they never investigate or prosecute for that. It just means it is not newsworthy.
Why don't you call customs and ask them if they ever pursue this sort of case? : o )

GBOY -
Marking "gift" on the customs form is a federal ofense, and the seller cuold be in deep doo-doo when a prosecutor wants an easy way to make the 5')clock news.
