I posted a thread on here last night how I was obsessing over one of my auctions that ended tonight and was worried because it was going for much more than other similar game systems. The auction ended a couple of hours ago and it looks like I was right to be worried.
The auction jumped again in the last few minutes by well over $100. The high bidder is from germany and wanted this mailed fedexed to him after he sent me the money by exchangepath. Alarms immediately went off in my head so I called exchangepath to ask them their opinion.
After giving them the buyers email address I was informed not to accept any payments from this person and to send anymoney received back promptly. I contacted the buyer and told him he oculd pay by bidpay or money order which he promptly refused. Second highest bidder ( another last minute bidder)also passed on purchasing this item so looks like I will be relisting it again.
I want to add this time that I will be contacting any bidders with feedback of less than five and possibly something about ending the auction sometime in the last 15 minutes to prevent sniping but my husband thinks this ight scare off some bidders. Any advice?
I am really ticked off because now I have to wait at least 7 days before I can even think of filing for the Final value fee of about $20 which is normally about 2 months ebay fees for me. Is there any way I can get this money credit before the 30th so I do not end up with a huge credit that will take me a couple of months to use it up. Thanks for your patience in actually reading all of this very long post of mine.
