I am fairly new to the internet and eBay. I have been on since August this year. Since then, I have been using free ISp's (freeatlast, freelane) and they keep shutting down permantantly. I need any advice on a GOOD internet service that cost under $12 /month, unlimited access. Email is very important and must accept HTML.
Freeatlast will be shutting its doors Nov. 30 and I need a new one FAST!
Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
It gives you a collection of ISP's.. nationwide/regional/etc. You can figure out who has what from there and what would best suit your needs.

LYCOS has one of the best free ISP's that I've ever used. Less problems than most and since they're SO huge it isn't likely that they'll be shutting down anytime soon.

Juno also has a free service for Internet. I've used it when my cable service is having trouble. I've never had trouble connecting through them.

There are many many ISP's out there, you will just have to shop around to get one that fits your needs and budget. Try local computer/software stores, news papers, internet search etc. Here is one you may want to look at-

Thanks so VERY much to each of you! I have tried ISPS.com and got a helpful list of ISP's , but there's just SO many! I needed to narrow down my search so I turned to the trusty message board! I trust the word of the people more than the search engine results!
I have tried Juno and was not pleased with the layout, just a little unfamiliar, and have heard nothing but complaints about them until now. I will try the altavista.net and Lycos today and see what happens.
I'm still open to new advice!

Free ISPs are going under almost as fast as pure play dot bombs. The biggest backbone provider to free ISPs defaulted on a $2M (or was it $2B) payment to Worldcom and went bankrupt, leaving one backbone provider willing to provide to freebies. And they're in trouble.
High expenses out without commensurate revenue in is such a bad business model. It's why so many pure play dot coms are going bad, and why free ISPs will go bad too.
