... Here is a way you can help out some children who are "wardrobe-challenged":
This past summer, my 8-year-old daughter and I spent some time in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. While there, we visited an orphanage for girls and brought toys to the dozen or so girls who live there. My daughter was quite interested in the orphanage and the little girls because she is adopted, too. For Christmas, we are preparing a box of new toys and new or good, used clothing for the girls. (The orphanage is lovely and clean, but the girls' clothes were quite worn-out and shabby.)
If you sell children's clothing on eBay and you have any items you have been unable to sell, I know these girls would appreciate them. They range in age from about 4 to 12. We'll be sending our gifts within about two weeks, so I will need your contributions by then.
We are also going to try to send a Barbie doll to each girl. If you would like to contribute a Barbie doll (they cost about $5) or any Barbie accessories, feel free to send those, too.

I would love to help, also. Could you please tell me how many girls are in the orphanage? I have lots of little trotchkies that I could perhaps put together for the girls - and some clothes, too.

My daughter is 12 and I have some clothes I could also send you, but I wanted to know more about the barbies you are wanting to send. My daughter keeps getting barbies from her grandmother and has no intrest in them. I have a box full of barbies, clothes, and assorted barbie stuff. It's not new, as it has been opened, but not really played with. Could you use this stuff also. I would be so happy to send it to you.
