Hi all, I have 4 pen and ink drawings from Germany circa 1963. I don't THINK they are very valuable, but art is not my niche, and I'm clueless. About all I can say of these 4 drawings is they look cool. Anyway, here's a sample of one of them, do any of you experts out there know who it is? Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!
Dang, I can't get the pic to show up!! How do I do that?

How did you do that?? thanks! I guess it's possible. I don't think it's actually a print, it looks like a drawing. It is signed in pencil at the bottom, but damned if I can make out who it is. The pictures are on real heavy paper, and the size of the pic itself is about 3X5. Does that help?

I think that you place brackets before and after the following link IMG SRC="http://home.cfl.rr.com/kitsch/germ4a.jpg"
I'll see if it works.

Ok I figured out how to add a pic, it's the brackets <> and the quotes!""
Now, back to my other original question...

Krikey, now what did I do wrong?

Place [ img ]before the URL and [ /img] at the end of the url. Don't add img src= or the quotes. It is [ not < It is UUB not HTML.
Also no spaces like I have here. If I delete the spaces, I can't get it to display text. UUB is not one of my favorites.
You are getting there...close off the first img with a ]. Delete the end quote and add a [ to /img]

Fine art is a tricky thing on EBAY. Generally the only art that sells well is that by a known artist (that is on EBAY). Of course, that doesn't explain why paintings on velvet, hotel paintings and number paintings sell well on EBAY.
You really nead to read that signature. If you can give me an approximation of the NAME of the artist, I will look it up. What is the size of the prints? Even if it is a print, if it is a hand made print, it could be valuable. It does not look mass produced.

Oh, how I've tried to read that signature!! It looks something like, I. or A. or even R. for the first name, then the last looks like "Rente" or on some it looks like "Rerke"... OOF! I've got four different ones, and the sigs are illegible on all of em! There may be an "I" in the last name, as one of em looks like it is dotted. The prints measure about 3" X 5", each hand signed in pencil. They were originally owned by a fellow who was in the army there in '63. So I know they are not terribly terribly old.
Any help you could give me would be great!
Thanks!

Coud the name be: I Reite, or I Reiter? The first picture is: Wiesbaden Roemertor. The oe = o with the 2 dots on top.
The 2nd is Niederwald Denkmal.
Good luck finding out more. Heike
