Several months ago, well after I'd shipped an item, a bidder's check bounced. She repeatedly promised to make good on the check (and my bank fees) but never did.
While doing a bit of housecleaning last month, I found the check and discovered it'd only been submitted once....so I redeposited it. Checked with her bank today and it cleared last week I'm out the NSF fee, but it's gratifying just to get paid, finally, for the merchandise she's had for nearly 4 months.
Anyway, as long as I was on the phone, I took advantage of her bank's merchant service and checked to if there's enough $ in the account to cover a check. Apparently she's now overdrawn. Perhaps the deduction from her account to cover her check to me wreaked some havoc with her balance? Tsk tsk tsk...

Too cool! I've got a couple of them thar bouncy checks, but my bank automatically deposits twice. Can I submit a 3rd time on them?

HCQ -
There is a God, and she has a great sense of humor. The deadbeat was probably thinking they were in the clear after the first bounce.
