I know eBay has been working on getting the system so that people can't find eBay users' email addys. However I discovered today that once an auction ends only the seller can get the email addys.
EDITED TO SAY: I have since found out that this encludes active auctions too! Sellers' addys are excessible though. Apparently we sellers will still get the spam emails.
Which is ok I think my valued customers need to be able to email me questions even though I do get an awful lot of spams selling junk to help me to increase my sales.

Email addresses will STILL be accessible, but you will have to ask for them one at a time by clicking on the name.
This will slow the spammers who were opening feedback profiles or seller lists and scavenging email addersses. If there is a pattern of a user requesting excessive numbers of addresses (and even the clicking could be automated with a script), eBay will have a record of it.

I was watching an unsuccessful auction close the other day, as a test. The "mail this auction to a friend" no longer appears on auctions that received no bids, and auctions where the reserve wasn't met.
