What was the wierdest or strangest item you have sold or have tried to sell on Ebay or any other auction site for that matter.
It was about a year ago and I sold a roll of toilet paper for $2.99 plus shipping costs. It was a Christmas roll that had trees and candy canes printed on it.

Let's see ...
In the past two months, I've sold a roll of trash bags imprinted with a college logo ... and, in a separate sale, 16 big pine cones painted gold.

LOL, my husband collects toilet paper. I bet you sold it to him. He started that collection as a joke many years ago. I sucked him into Ebay by showing him how many wierd people actually sell toilet paper on it. He is now the proud owner of a package of Charmin signed by George Whipple (or rather the actor that plays him).
He set up the Virtual Toilet Paper Museum on the web - that page has been featured in several newspaper articles and he was contacted by ABC not too long ago about it.

Oh man---now I regret that I gave away my "King Tut" toilet paper to the goodwill a few years ago! Got it during the King Tut relics tour some years ago. Many's the time I was tempted to use it during times of no TP, but I resisted. To think I could have sent it to a museum.
The weirdest thing I ever got money for was a lot of 15 year old makeup that I advertised as "scuffed, old, ugly, garish, makeup". We're talking peacock blues and golds and lime greens. It was purchased for 17.50 and I just about died.

The weirdest item I sold was "Nipple Shields"
They were glass and in their original box from about the 1930's or 1940's. I purchased them with a bottle collection years ago.
I forget what they sold for, I think it was just under $30 but I do remember that they got more hits than anything that I had put up for auction.

I sold all the Over the Hill stuff I received on my 50th birthday, even the dead plant! The buyer was tickled to get it for her hubbys birthday coming in January.

Any nursing mother will tell you what nipple shields are for...to keep the little bugger from biting them off!
There's also a kind that you wear inside your bra between nursing times, to keep your nipples from chafing and getting even sorer than they already are.
And I bet that's far more than you wanted to know...

The strangest thing I ever listed AND sold was an old roledex case in POOORRRRRR condition. With it were 2 cardboard boxes. Equally sad in shape. It was when I'd first started selling, and was getting half the profits from a friend. It was his. He dared me to see if I could sell it. It went for almost $30. Trust me, you'd have had to have seen it to realize how bad it was. The pics showed it, and I mentioned EVERY flaw I could find. I started the bidding at $1.

I sold an Oscar Meyer Weinermobile Pedal car for nearly $300 !!!
I paid $5 for it.
But the weirdest thing I have ever actually seen for sale on ebay was a guy selling Cow Patties from Texas.
He sold them in the "likenesses" of famous people and mentioned he would custom make you a cow patty of any famous people's likenesses.
He started the bidding @ .01 cent and got no bids.

weirdest one I saw was when I first started here in '97. Headline was "Cindy Crawford's pubic hair ( 1 strand). Of course I had to click on it. The description went something like ," Yeah, this is it, the real deal, a pubic hair from Cindy Crawford" (no pix, darn!) Bidding was up around $14 or $15 if I remember right. I always wondered about authenticating it....

It's hard to say this without being indelicate. The wierdest thing I ever saw on EBAY was "Rocky Mountains Oysters" which had not yet been harvested (date was given though). There was a color picture of a recently removed, unprocessed, natural product, laying in the grass, taken from the last go-round. I guess so that the bidders would know what to expect upon delivery. It (they?) would be shipped in dry ice.

Not my strangest item - but my strangest sale
Bought a pamphlet at a garage sale for 25 cents because it was date in the 1914. Guy's name was Billy Sunday.
Sold it for $41 to the curator of the new $6 million Billy Sunday museum in Utah.
Buyer was born and raised in the town I have lived nearly all my life.
Go figure!

My strangest sale was a some sports cards. (nothing strange there) but the buyer was buying so he could have another card of HIMSELF! How cool is that!
I think the weirdest thing I've ever sold was hair. I know hair art is collectible, but this was about the same time, but it was just sewn to a piece of paper -- a kind of victorian "photo album".
Nastiest thing I ever saw. I hated putting that in my scanner, but I certainly enjoyed the almost $100 I got from it!

I have sold alotta weird stuff, but I have the weirdest Shipping story.
The bidder asked if I could send the item in "PURE WHITE PACKING PEANUTS" (that's what she wrote in the confirm e-mail.).
I sent it alright...but, I HAD to insert that one Pink Peanut for kicks.
She gave me a neutral.

The hardest thing for me to let go of was an authentic WWII helmet that this guy wore from just after D-Day till the end (It's a guy thing).
The wierdest I tried to sell were these plastic beer can holders..one of a girl leaning over wearin' daisy dukes and this buff guy with a ripped shirt. They were sooo tacky! No takers though. Says something about my taste in items though...

New guy, that was hilarious! The WEIRDEST auctions I ever saw was when I was quite innocently ("ohhh surrrre" you say) searching for my favorite Otomix boxing sneakers. Well I found some and so I went to look at the seller's other auctions... they were in the adult section... this guy was actually selling underwear and jock straps - but not new ones - um, like, used ones, like dirty, stained ones... and his description told about how many guys had ... um... "stained" them. And ya know what? He was selling them for like $30 - $35 a "pop"! Um no pun intended. Sorry if this was way too much information, but I just had to share. Could YOU keep this to yourself???

My "wierdest" was a 10" Lp on Blood Red Vinyl called "Music to Preform Bladder Surgery By"...That went for about $10.00.
The next wierdest was a white label lp with nothing written on it, when I played it, it was Charles Manson...The inner rim on the vinyl had some sick comments about Sharon Tate etched on...I think that one went for about $50.00.

The weirdest thing I've sold (and seen!) on eBay was a BIG dessicated toad (hollow), with a zipper on it's belly and a leather strap, designed to be used as a purse!
