The next generations treasures will be whatever you are throwing away today. I see my nieces paying big bucks for Rugrats toys about 25 years from now.

I think you have hit that right. But do you think anybody will have the right to sell or will be able to afford to buy if they can sell it.

Don't forget the #1 future collectable:

AOL free-demo diskettes.

I have about 300 of them and in about 80 years I will be rich!

Anything designed and marketed by Ron Popiel. Pocket Fishermans, Veg-a-Matics, that kind of thing. Also, video tapes of the infomercials are going to be hot.

I am diligently saving everything I can find, and have even rented a storage unit for all of these treasures. I have many duplicates, 127 Pocket Fishermans alone, so I'm set.

Yes! The Garden Weasel! That should be the best of all, but I forgot all about that one.

I'd better go rent another storage unit soon.

How did you know what was in *my* storage unit? LOL!!!

That was good, macandjan!

What about Star Wars Episode I? With all the collector items from the movie that everyone has, I'm sure they will be collectible in about 100 years.

Y'all thanks for a good laugh this morning!

Hiya Shosh, hiya Nobs

Plastics. Right you are amalgamated.

The "shabby chic" of the future. I think everything Popiel designed is/was plastic. And polystyrene at that.

Chia pets are good. They need a Chia Werewolf though, so he can "transform".

Here's another to watch for:

American Motors cars, like the one my Mom drove in the 60's. The transmission shifted with pushbuttons on the dashboard.
