I understand they were approved, but what do you mean "takes over priority?"

Are you saying that is when the rates go into effect?

when are you guys going to start changing over your TOS/EOA's to reflect the changes? Timing is crucial here- if you do it too early you have p.oe'ed customers. If you do it too late you lose a lot of money on people who pay late. any thoughts?

I am going over to a Fex Ex ground or UPS account, and bypassing USPS all together, unless my customers specifically request it.

My understanding is that the rates go up and USPS takes over the Priority mailings on the same day? Go to: http://www.usps.gov/ or the correct url for the details. I have heard this from our PO today...sort of on the spot news..

I'm charging the new rates now; with an auction ending in 7 days, I give them 14 days to pay and sometimes hold the check for 3 weeks after that.

thanks so much for the info you guys!! I could hug you both! I could hug the world for that matter! Yes, the rates went up, but not TOO bad, it could have been MUCH WORSE, and I'm so happy that they didn't eliminate book rate entirely! Happy Dance!

Also, take note that the delivery confirmation went up as well as insurance. Non postal people may be handling the Priority packages, good or bad...
