Hello everyone! This is my first time posting a topic here.
I sell my childrens things as they outgrow them. I work only part time at my regular job. I use the money that I make from my sales as back-up for bills and things like that. Last month & this month I am posting sales for Christmas shopping money.
I listed over 40 items, and all of those auctions have ended now. Out of the 40, I have 9 non-paying bidders. 7 of them didn't ever even send any email response to acknowledge that they won my auctions. I filed a NPB form on those 7 only (so far). I didn't leave any negative feedback (yet). Then 3 of them finally emailed me. They said that what I did was unfair. They threatened to leave negative feedack on me! It has now been 23 days since those auctions ended, and still no payment on any of the above mantioned 9. Am I being unfair???

Filing the NPB was the right thing to do. The NPB is just a reminder for the bidder to pay the seller--it doesn't count against them. Here is what really counts--the bidder will be in trouble when they get 4 FVF refunds against them.

They say you are unfair for doing what you supposed to do? What a bunch of whiny babies. Also they are threating to neg YOU? They are breaking eBay's rules for doing that. I believe that would be feedback extortion--they are saying 'back off getting me to pay or I will neg you.'

Sorry to hear you had so many sorry bidders. But don't let them get away with that crapola. I hope it all works out.

NPB's come with the territory. Some dork-brains like the thrill of bidding and winning and then they move on. It is a little like the irresponsible teen that gets a girl pregnant and then moves on and forgets her. The guy thinks he is a cool but he is really an idiot jerk. So are NPB's

I agree with heavnsqt, just move on and relist without leaving negatives (at this point). When I get these replies I send them an email restating the terms of sale and explaining that the non payer alert is just a reminder and that if by some unforseen circumstance a bidder cannot pay, it is the only way you can recover your listing and final value fees from ebay. I seldom leave negative feedback. I usually do that when the person has flamed me first is a complete jerk.
Good luck!

The best thing to do is keep short accounts. NPBs that do not generate payment get prompt FVF credit filings on day 10. I then leave the following EOA (date) NPB (date) FVF Credit (date) when I neg them.

I ALWAYS neg them if they don't pay. It's the only satisfaction I get for eating an insertion fee and they so richly deserve it. If they are stupid enough to retaliate, they only draw attention to the fact that they are a deadbeat when their comments are amended with "Not A Registered User".
