I just went to send some money through Paypal and was thwarted for not filling out the entire submission form.
As it turns out, you now HAVE to pick whether the transaction is:
A) money for services
B) goods-auction
C) goods-non auction
D) cash
What's that all about? I had filled in the "goods-auction" one, but was then required to fill in all of these other blanks
including; insurance (if any), shipping amount, etc. WHO needs this extra BS aggrivstion!
Who needs THAT time waster? I hit the back button, changed my choice to "goods-non auction" and completed the transfer.
Whenever something like this is instituted, it always makes me wonder what new way they've come up with to make money off of me.
For me it really doesn't matter I guess, since the minute my "limit" drops to zero, I have NO intention of "verifying" so they can have my bank info. More BS. I have used them many times and if that hasn't proven my money and name are good, bank verification won't change anything---for ME anyway.

They changed their policy again (big surprise). Visa now wants to know if the payment is for cash. If so, you may get hit with an extra fee from Visa for it.

Hmmm...interesting. Any lawyer types out there? Seems to me PayPal might be taking some CYA steps with these new changes. If a buyer pays for an auction but then says it's a non-auction payment, can they later charge back for that item when they lied about what the payment was for? If the buyer declines purchasing insurance and tries a charge back for damage that occurred during shipping, can PayPal use that to get the charge back reversed? Is there any type of insurance out there PayPal might be looking to buy with a cost that would be affected by the percentage of auction vs. non-auction sales they process? Wow, it's late, or I would try to think up some more.

As I have said many times before, anybody with a PayPal account should drop them like a hot rock after the sly tricks that have been pulled on their loyal customer base. PayPal reminds me of my ex-mother-in-law....

Everyone knows how I feel about PP by now, I suppose. Dropped them like a hot rock after their invasion into my finances when they stated that they needed to offset the costs of CC processing but proceeded to charge for every transaction--even between PP accounts. Liars just make me...well...leave!
Anyway, the first thing that I thought of when I saw that you have to fill out the cost of the item and shipping and insurance is that possibly they are coming up with some plan to not charge for the non-income items?
Don't get me wrong, I don't like them and won't ever use them again, but that thought occurred to me, so I thought I might throw it into the pot...
