This really sucks!
And right before Christmas when I put some of my best stuff on. 1 payment from 1 auction has about wiped me out(I had a few bucks left from the original $500 limit).
I guess their going to get us to up-grade HELL OR HIGH WATER
Ok, lets say I up-grade, how and when do they get THEIR fees?
With me and my $1.00 auctions It could very well COST ME to get rid of this stuff. e-Bay gets $.50, PayPal gets $.30 + 1.9 to 2.2%. Well what the heck does that leave me?
Closing the account I don't think at this time would be a smart move. There are just to many buyers out there that like it and use it.
Well anyway....their new structure sucks.
Now I think I'll go pick a fight over in Zazzie's thread!

ploughman,
They have changed it to $.30 flat fee on ALL transactions, if its under $15.00 then it is onlt $.30 if it is over $15.00 then it is $.30 + a percentage(depending on type of transaction).
Also they changed the $500.00 every 6 months to $100.00 every month.
One transaction could wreck the whole thing and they know it. And like labbie1 said, once you upgrade thats it you are STUCK to pay for EVERY single transaction from now until eternity.
BAD HAIR DAY INDEED!!

I don't have a problem with the fees--they're lower than the other services that I've looked at. However, I found out today that the default source of funds for any payment you make over your PP account balance is now reset to your bank account every time you make a payment. According to the CS rep I talked with, these changes were made YESTERDAY. The link verify the source of funds is VERY TINY and isn't seen until the last page, clear at the bottom. I don't usually spend more than I have in my account, but I decided to splurge on hubby's Xmas gift. Imagine my surprise when I looked at my account history and found that $105 had been withdrawn from my bank account instead of being charged to my CC! I question whether they could really argue that I gave my "express consent" for withdrawal, given the format of the "Send Money" forms. You can't even set your default form of payment to be by credit card.

I raised my shipping & handling charge, but just slightly, to cover all the extra fees I have to pay.
Bidders don't seem to mind at all, as long as the shipping/handling fee is stated on the auction page. If they *know* they have to pay $2.00 postage for the CD, then they can make an informed choice.
