I'm going to be purchasing a PDA and wireless net service this month and would like to know if anyone here has had any personal experince using such a configuration to research items "in the field" when buying for resale on eBay? The idea came to me after buying one too many duds and passing up on a few potential hot potatoes.

Right now I've narrowed it down to either a Visor Platinum/Omnisky/Proxinet config or a HP Jornada PocketPC/Omnisky. Even though I would prefer a PocketPC I'm leaning toward the Visor as a cheaper interim device until HP unveils a new model. I think the Visor would recoup more of its value at auction than an outdated Jornada when I sell it to upgrade.

Opinions anyone?

I tried it with an internet enabled cell phone for a while. It wasn't worth the hassle. I would imagine a PDA would be more user friendly. Typing on a cell phone simply takes too long.
