I have a Sony Mavica 73. I love it. I have a question about how many times I can use a disc for pictures and then reformat and use again. I read somewhere that the picure quality will deteriorate after the disc is used a few times. Is this true? If it is true how many times can a disc be used before it beginds to lose quality? Also I have read the the more expensive discs are better. Is this true and is it worth it? What brands do you then recommend? Thanks.

You can use it an unlimited number of times as long as the disc doesn't suffer any mechanical damage. As to brands, they are all made by the same company anyway. I have used the cheapest ones for years (not just for digital pics), and I have had no problems.
btw, use your PC to reformat the disk - it saves the Mavica battery!

There will be no degredation of the pictures at all.
However, there is another consideration. The more a disc is used, the more likely it is to fail.
This is a pretty serious consideration with floppies, considering that the must be produced so cheaply at this time.
Also, I don't have any real technical reason for saying this, but the Mavica drive does seem a little rough, so it might wear them out faster. But that's just speculation.
With floppies being as cheap as they are I would definately recommend swapping them out on a fairly regular basis.
