I am so tired and frustrated. I just can't think straight any more. We had a rough month in November. My husbands favorite brother had cancer. We went to Texas to see him. We were home 4 days when he passed away. We had to return to Texas. We are both very sad over his loss but glad we got see him and help him before he passed away.

I am sure that is why it just seems that I can't deal with the stupid things people ask
and do.

I have heard on this board that buyers do not like to pay S/H. So as an experiment I added S/h on top of my opening bid and are advertising no shipping costs. I received an email that I was commiting false advertising. Well buyers which is it?

I believe I have looked at some of your auctions and as long as you have added it into your starting bid, I see no misrepresentation at all. I like the idea. Just MHO though.

My ebay name is the same. I haven't had any response from the auctions this way except from a guy. Who offer to buy an item I have up for several hundred less than my cost, He also sent me a Happy 99.exe email.

Thanks for looking and responding. I don't even know what to write here any more. I am trying several things to give me more sales.

I just cannot give things away. I am willing to make a small profit but I can not exist in business if I do not make a profit.

msstone, this really is the time of year that people aren't spending money on much else but gifts, try not to expect too much big spending on personal collection items...you'd be amazed how soon after Christmas that the bidding starts up again.

I sell gift items. Christmas is our busy time of year. We have three seasons Jan to June - slow. June, July, August - dead and Sept to December busy with it getting very busy usually from Halloween to Christmas.
This year we had a trickle of busy around Thanksgiving.

I sold a lot of higher end products. I had 3 newbie bidders cancel their auctions.

I just have had some weird things happen. I had a customer put one cent stamp on their payment so we had to pay 32 cents to be paid. I know it sound trivial but this is just one of many things that have happened in the last two weeks.

Well, at least one of your auctions (Item #521734532) states "Free Shipping" in the title, but still states in the auction itself "S/H is $6.50 US insured mail". Maybe that's why this person that emailed you claimed false advertising? You said one thing in the title and another in the body of the advertisement.

I'm sorry. Just lost my favorite aunt, same way. Your mind and heart just can't take on another thing and your body's a wreck from the stress and traveling. I had bills due I just "forgot" about. If you can't pull back from auctioning, at least cool the experimenting for a bit. Is there someone that could work with you to help cover all the details? Or run every auction through a thorough checklist - did that, did that, need to do that....etc.
Have a friend that includes shipping in the opening bid. I don't think he's had any problems with it but I must admit I just don't get it. Do the bidders really think they're getting free shipping?

Thanks Athena: I corrected that immediately.

The person who said that has been trying to do an off line deal. I refuse to deal off line and I especially am not going to sell the item to them for several hundred dollars less then my cost.

I think buyers feel that they should not have to pay anything over and above the cost of the item, their highest bid.

Craybaby I am sorry about your aunt. I know how you feel. I keep telling myself that they are in a better place and not sick or hurting anymore.

The check list is a good idea. I also think that taking a break is a good idea.

Your auctions appear very clear about the shipping, except at the bottom you state Priority Mail costs (at least on the auction I saw). If I was bidding, I would assume free shipping, which is obviously your intention.

The guy is just giving you trouble - he might even be a competing seller.

Your auctions do look very nice, and I would buy something if I had one thousand+ dollars to spend away 0_o. Nice website, also.

I do charge extra if they want priority. I mail all packages insured by the U.S.P.O. Thank you for looking at my auctions I have 117 listed right now.

I try to sell a quality product at a very fair below wholesale price. I buy right my source says I do not ask enough for my items
Some of the dealers that buy from me also say I should charge more.

It never fails that someone who has no idea of quality or anything else is the one that is complaining that I overcharge. They want a deal.

I find it insulting to have someone email before an auction is even over and say if you don't sell this $700 item I will give you $350 for it. If I am selling a $700 item a retailer would be selling this item for $2100 to $3500 if they could even get a similar quality item. I should sell it to this person who sends an email for less than I pay for it. I think that is a whole lot of nerve.

I hope this is clear. I am having a small problem stating what I want to.
