Okay, I have never left anyone a neg yet and would really hate to... BUT - I'm fuming and right now I think this guy deserves it. But before I lose all impulse control, let me ask all your opinions first. Here's the story: I wanted to bid on a (used) Playstation game so I emailed the seller and asked did it come with the instructions and what was the shipping fee. I got an email back from the seller's girlfriend who told me she didn't know, it was her boyfriend's auction and he was away, but she would ask him and let me know. Hmmm. I checked their feedback - all positive. Okay - so she did let me know pretty quickly, like a day later - that yes it came with instructions and shipping was $2. So I bid on it and won. I sent the payment ($10.50) with Paypal the same day the auction closed, Nov 28. The girl left me a really nice positive feedback as soon as she got my payment. Time passed, no game still, so I emailed nicely and inquired about it. I got the girlfriend's email again who says "Oh I'm pretty sure he mailed that already. But I'll ask him and let you know." So I was smelling a rat already, right? I didn't wanna hear oh I'm pretty sure. I want FACTS. Now I'm thinking ok, he dumps his auctions on his girlfriend, she has no clue, HE doesn't give a rat's @$$ AND he has my money. Still waiting for the answer. No game, no email, nothing. I emailed again 2 or 3 days ago: "Did you guys send my game?" I finally get an email yesterday from boyfriend himself. "I will mail it today, I've been really busy." D'OH!!!! It's SIXTEEN DAYS now that they've had my payment, and I still have no game! And I feel like I've just been getting totally blown off and ignored! I am REALLLLY MAD NOW! I haven't said another word to them, I'm just waiting to see if I get this damn game at all, and if I finally do, SHOULD I LEAVE HIM A FLAMING NEG?? I'm getting madder all over again just writing this!!!! What would YOU guys do?? And most importantly, how do I make that flaming mad face animated gif here?

PS: At least I wouldn't have to worry about a retaliatory neg cos I already got my positive feedback. By the way, the game is called "Nightmare Creatures" - coincidence? I think not. Grrrrr.

First, cool off a bit.
Since he said he'd mail it "today", see if you get it in a few days or so. If you do and all is fine with the game, and you still don't feel good about it, then perhaps a neutral would be in order.
After several days and no game? You could neg, but I would give it some time. If you neg now, he may never send it.

It could be an honest mistake. They admitted their error. I would send them an email, let them know you are unhappy, and also ask that they send you a notice when the item is shipped. I can see how you'd be upset with the constant "I'll ask my boyfriend" responses. Since you asked, this wouldn't warrant more than a polite neutral in my book.
However, if they keep dicking you around, or if the game doesn't arrive quickly this time, I would leave a polite negative comment. It's really for the seller's own good.
They've had your money for two weeks, no more excuses. Just MHO.

Well...I feel bad now. I am a seller and FINALLY got most of my auctions sent out. Some of them ended a month ago. The problem with the time frame is that I have been in and out of the hospital with severe issues. All but one of my bidders have been very understanding and have sent me cards and well wishes. The one who wasnt...made my life hell. I am having boughts of feeling well and then BAM...next day in the hospital for several days. Then I feel fine then BAM..back to the hospital. I have been put on disability from my full time job and have been selling on ebay to supplement right now. Even in the hospital, my laptop would go with me and when I was feeling well, I would try to email the bidders on the situation....

I would wait until it arrived and if you like the item, I would leave a neutral that said, "Item as described, Slow to Ship". At least any other person that wanted to bid on their stuff would know about their slow shipping. The one seller I had to do this with told me that he was in the hospital for several weeks 2 days after the close of this item and he could not get to the post office to mail it. Funny thing, my check was cashed by him when he was in the hospital, he posted 17 new items at the same time also. When asked about this, he got nasty, told me his Med. problems was not my concern and the item was sent. His only mistake was posting me a Pos. the day before I started to ask questions, so I was nice and posted the Neutral.

I don't see, twinsoft, how you get that seller "admitted their error", when all seller said was that he'd been "really busy". Apparently seller was SO "busy" that he not only couldn't ship this item for more than 2 weeks after receiving payment; he couldn't even respond to bidder's reasonable emails wondering where his item was.
I would wait until I received the item, then neg with the facts only.
