I can't say what happened before 2 minutes before this post, but one minute before this post I logged on to my account and checked my balance. No problem here.

I have not been able to get a home page for Pay Pal since they force closed last night for "updates". I can't see who paid me, I can't ship --NOTHING.

www.paypal.com=dead
www.x.com=dead
link from Yahoo's search engines=dead
link from an eBay sellers Pay Pal icon=dead
(I realize they are all probably the same, I was hoping perhaps not...)
If someone out there has a link saved to their favorites that works - please post it here and let me try it. Thanks in advance.
Perhaps the problem only pertains to New England or something...

I have lots of links saved, but none of them will work. I even tried "Sign Up" page and can't get in. What a time to be down right during the mad frenzy to get Christmas gifts shipped!! I got in real early this morning so I am hoping it is just because they are super busy and it will work later on tonight.

I'm from Michigan and can access PayPal's homepage with no problem. This is the link that I'm using: http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr

Blanche's link works fine for me, as does my own in my "favorite places" file in AOL. So in Central CA, it seems to be working fine.
Could it be that some portion of the net is down--one of the major servers that handles web traffic from a particular geographic area? That's the only explanation I can come up with for why some of us are having problems and others aren't.
