Hi!
I was wondering if you can have both of the above? Do they fight each other to be the main one?
If I wanted to switch to Netscape would I have to change my email, etc?
If I can't have both...how do I get rid of IE? If I get rid of IE does that mean I can't have Outlook Express?

Yes, you can have both. I've got both on my home computer (WIN95) and office computer (WIN98).
If the reason you want to use Netscape is for ease of listing auctions, get the Communicator version, not 6 (it's got some glitches that need to be worked out, IMHO). You can download it from www.netscape.com, Download page.
When you install Netscape, it will ask you if you want it to be the primary browser. Just say "no."

I don't know how to answer the tech. questions (my son sets up my programs) but I can say I have both. I prefer Netscape but sometimes a page won't load with it. IE allows "errors" in html that Netscape won't.
I use netscape email for one of my email addy's and outlook (IE) for my other. I know there is a way to set up Netscape to handle more than one email addy but I don't want to hassle with it.
I am not sure, I know someone with more knowledge will answer soon, but I think you should set up one or the other for each email addy (pop server) I would think it confusing to have both getting the mail for just one email addy.

Glenda is right on target. Both will work just fine. Just decided ahead of time which one will be your primary browser because when you answer that question netcape asks about being made the primary browser, all your settings will change.
Glenda is absolutely correct about posting. IE has some problems with ebay. I use Netscape when I have to manually post or repost.

Yes, you can, and it's actually a good idea to have two different browsers available.
I have found that if something bugs my Netscape out and I have to get a fix from the web that I can still use my MSIE to get it.
Also I can test my listings and those of others with both versions to help locate any HTML or other bugs.
Other than that I don't have much use for MSIE.

Definately keep both. If you shop on Ebay, a lof of sellers have html errors in their listings. Netscape is not very forgiving with that, and will not show the pages. But, IE will. So, keep both of them, and you will be able to see everything.

CERTAINLY, you can run both - and if you do lots of ads and/or graphics, it helps to check both to see how they appear on different browsers.
Net Scape doesn't have the ability to run the high number of color variations that IE does, and we run IE for our primary browser, but do check things on NetScape from time to time. On a rare occasion you may see what is green on IE, may actually appear other than green (or whatever color) on NetScape - it just depends on the area of the color spectrum you are dealing with.

Be advised that if you use the LATEST version of Outlook Express, you will not be able to configure it to use Netscape (if you click a link in an email - it will default to IE overriding your instructions). There is no way around this.
This prompted me to switch to Eudora and I use Netscape 90% of the time, but have IE loaded.

Yes you can use both.
If you are using any version but windows 95, Do NOT try to remove MIE. If you are using Windows 95, you are able to remove it. But in the newer versions of MIE Microsoft has Internet Explorer so intertwined with the Windows OS, you will crash your computer. (This is one reason for the antitrust lawsuit against Microsoft)
