Well, the inevitable has happened and now PayPal is holding back payments because my credit-card receiving limit for personal accounts has been topped.
I'm going on 2- to 3-month hiatus from doing auctions at the end of the month and am thinking of waiting until then to "upgrade" to claim the payments. The amount in question is not a lot...four unclaimed so far at less than $100 total.
Is there a time limit on claiming something with status of "unclaimed?" Will it confuse buyers? (Will they think the transaction is not complete and the item not sent, even though I acknowledge receipt of PayPal payments by e-mail and say the item is going out). Is it easier for buyers to take back an unclaimed payment than one that has been claimed? Any guidance from those who have waited a bit would be much appreciated.

If you leave the money in the accounts that show as "unclaimed" by the buyers - if you go ahead and ship their items, they can always "cancel" their unclaimed payments to you after they received their items and you'll have no recourse. They will have their money AND your item. I would strongly suggest you get your money out.
