I'm just starting to get my auction acknowledgement notices from eBay, and I see that some of the items I've submitted, which are relists that didn't sell, do not have the insertion fees credited! They have the standard blah blah about the fee being credited if the item sells. What gives? I wouldn't have relisted these if it wasn't free...sheesh...

Everything I listed and re-listed today was not charged a listing fee. You might want to double check, and if you were not credited, be sure to send mail to Ebay.

Thanks kidsfeet, I double-checked and it appears I misread! The item was listed for free, it just had the "wrong" text in it. Let's see if I can copy here:
Fees:
Insertion Fee: $0.25
Insertion Fee Credit: -$0.25 (It will be refunded if the item is sold!)
Total fees for this item: $0.00
eBay Online Payments/Credit Card Fees will apply if buyer purchases item using Billpoint.
So, hehehehe, does that mean I have to pay it back if the item sells, or will they give me another -0.25?

My question has a slightly different twist.
I normally list on yahoo, but with the free listing on ebay...... what the heck.
Now it the items don't sell, and I want to relist them. Do I get the relist fee returned if it sells the 2nd time around?
Does anybody know?
Thanks.

Yes, I do think you get the relist fee refunded if it sells the 2nd time around. At least that's what I recall from last time we had this.
