Mornin' Folks!

Due to a limited budget this year, my husband & I agreed to buy each other one shared gift...Well, as fate would have it ALL of the stores in our area + online e-tailers no longer have the model that we can afford....But, of course, there are sellers on eBay who do...
Here's the dilemma, the item has a $100 rebate available thru the manufacturer (with a 12/31/00 deadline!)...

So, my question....Has anyone ever applied for /received a rebate with the only receipt being one generated by an eBay seller?....

As always, thanx for your help....

Rebates generally require that you submit a receipt/invoice from an authorized retailer/reseller. Some of the sellers on Ebay meet this criteria, some do not. Email the seller first to be sure.

When there is a rebate available for an item I sell, I make a copy of the original sales receipt for my records, mail the original along with the rebate form, right with the item. Ask the seller.

I guess all you can do is try. Or, have the seller send in the rebate for you because you will never receive the letter before Dec. 31.
When I bought my computer I also bought a scanner that had a rebate. I unpacked the computer but not the scanner about 1 month later I opened the scanner and read the rebate rules well as luck would have it it had expired but I sent it in anyway and about a month later I received the payment. I guess it depends on the manufacture. Good Luck.

When I sell items with a rebate soon to expire, I email the customer a jpeg file containing a scan of the receipt and the rebate form. They can have everything ready to go as soon as the item arrives (You usually need the UPS code from the box).
